Three Bowden teens are facing multiple Criminal Code charges in connection to a break-in at a Town of Bowden public works building.
Olds RCMP Cpl. Jay Peden said a break-in occurred at the public works building on Aug. 5. He said keys to a vehicle were stolen. The culprits then took the vehicle for a drive. It was later returned.
Peden said the vehicle sustained unspecified damage.
All three teens, who are 18 years old, are facing charges of break and entering and theft in relation to the stolen keys and vehicle.
Two of the teens are facing an additional charge of mischief.
All three teens were released by police and will appear in Didsbury provincial court on Oct. 3.
Drunk driving charges laid against Didsbury man
A Didsbury man is facing drunk driving charges after he was refused service at a local liquor store.
Olds RCMP Cpl. Jay Peden said on Aug. 20 a 57-year-old Didsbury man entered a local liquor store to purchase more stock but was refused service because he was intoxicated.
RCMP was advised shortly after that the man then entered a vehicle and drove off, said Peden.
The man was arrested a short time later at 52 Avenue. He provided police with breath samples and was charged with impaired driving and driving with an alcohol level over .08.
He is scheduled to appear in Didsbury provincial court on Sept. 19.
Cops charge Calgary man over stolen property
A Calgary man has been arrested and charged in connection to a break-in and theft at a local business.
On Aug. 11 police received a complaint of a burglary at the Little House of Wireless at 5414 46 St.
On Aug. 20 Olds RCMP were notified that a 25-year-old Calgary man was arrested at a traffic stop in Turner Valley. The man allegedly was in possession of items that were stolen from the Olds store, including two cellphones.
At around the time of the burglary police in Olds received complaints of other break-ins in the area. However, they can't say at this time whether there is a connection to the one at Little House of Wireless.
The Calgary man has been charged with possession of stolen property, possession of break-in instruments and four counts of failing to comply with release conditions.
