This year's Tim Hortons Smile Cookies campaign in Mountain View County and Innisfail was another great success, according to spokesman Todd Jacobs.

"It was a good campaign. Overall we raised over $23,000 this year, which was up about $4,000 over last year," he said in an email to the Albertan.

From Sept. 16 - 22, customers could buy a Smile Cookie for $1 plus tax, with revenues going to local charities.

In Olds, proceeds raised are going to the Hope 4 MVC Kids Society, which raises money to help families cover medical costs and associated expenses.

In Didsbury, they are going to the Wildrose Humane Society.

In Sundre, funds raised are slated for Greenwood Neighbourhood Place, a local resource and support centre for residents.

Proceeds are also going to Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Innisfail.
