Water restrictions in place for Innisfail area

The Mountain View Regional Water Services Commission has put Level 2 water restrictions in place for all its member communities due to low reservoir water levels from recent hot and dry conditions.

The Mountain View Regional Water Services Commission has put Level 2 water restrictions in place for all its member communities due to low reservoir water levels from recent hot and dry conditions.Residential activities such as lawn watering, the washing of vehicles, patios, driveways and home exteriors, filling pools, fountains and other water features and the use of water toys are currently restricted.Non-residential activities such as lawn watering and the washing of driveways, patios and pathways are also restricted.The restrictions came into place on July 17 for the communities of Olds, Innisfail, Bowden, Didsbury, Carstairs and Crossfield.The commission stated the restrictions could be lifted this week following heavy rain in recent days.
