OLDS — Westview Co-op has acquired four liquor store sites in Alberta, including two in the area.
Those stores are Cowboy Trail Liquor in Sundre, Olds Liquor in Olds, and Jerry’s Liquor in Hanna and Drumheller.
They are expected to become co-op liquor locations this month.
“Westview Co-op will retain all current employees of the liquor stores and ensure increased economic viability of these stores in the communities as it continues to serve its members, guests and communities,” a Westview Co-op news release issued said.
“The sites are situated to provide convenient options for members and guests,” it said.
“These locally-owned and well-respected Alberta businesses are a perfect fit for Westview Co-op, and are a welcome addition to our co-op,” Westview Co-op general manager Mike Isaak said in the release.
He added that the acquisitions will “allow us to meet the growing needs of our members, customers and the communities we serve.”
