This year's edition of École Deer Meadow School's annual Terry Fox Run raised $1,700, well above the school's goal of $1,400. The run was held Oct. 3. Grade 8 students Ella Poiron and Jaecia Joyce outlined what happened.

Olds RCMP are investigating three incidents of a driver of a Ford pickup truck stunting and causing property damage at Olds Koinonia Christian School, located east of Olds on Rge. Rd. 13.

Wade Bearchell is no longer an Olds municipal councillor. He resigned on Oct. 21, effective Oct. 22, citing personal reasons for his decision. That forces a byelection, which in theory should be held within 90 days.

An Olds businessman is upset that he lost out in a bid to install a new bulk water station in Bowden. However, Greg Skotheim, the community's chief administrative officer (CAO), says the town did nothing wrong and he stands by the decision.
