We, the citizens of Innisfail, have important decisions to make on Monday, Oct. 16.

We can all play a role in helping out our volunteer firefighters simply by taking measures to ensure they won't have to rush out to extinguish a blaze in the first place.

The race for seats on Sundre's council is heating up. With the municipal election looming around the corner for Oct. 16 — and the advanced vote scheduled for Oct. 6 — eligible Sundre voters have many candidates to choose from.

In writing a paper for the University of Waterloo, I've been thinking a lot about the idea of developing Sundre into one of Alberta's top destinations for culture, recreation, events and conferences.
