Fifteen months after her husband was shot dead on a Sundre-area property, a 61-year-old woman will likely find out this week whether she will be tried in the killing.

Heather Wilson Duncan faces a charge of second-degree murder in the death of 68-year-old Barry Alexander Duncan, who was found deceased in the couple's home south of Bergen on Dec. 10, 2010.

Heather Duncan's preliminary hearing is scheduled for three days in Didsbury provincial court starting Tuesday.

Preliminary hearings are held to determine if there is enough evidence to send an accused to trial. Duncan is out on bail pending the outcome of this week's hearing.
