Sundre council waived rental fees for Mennear Foods employees to use the community centre tables during the rodeo pancake breakfast this month.
Each table is rented at $5 per day, but council has been waiving the fees for this particular event for several years.
Council agreed to waive the fees during the June 2 meeting. The event will be held in the Sobeys parking lot on June 21.
“This event is free and open to the community – local and rural. It encourages tourism and is a great addition to the Sundre Pro Rodeo event that occurs afterwards,” Jaime Marr with the town's community services reported to council.
“This event truly does represent what it means to visit, live and explore Sundre.”
