Fire ban in Mountain View County

Due to dry conditions, high fire hazard levels, and an increased level of grass fires within the county boundary, Mountain View County has issued a fire ban that affects the entire county. The fire ban is effective April 254 until further notice.

Due to dry conditions, high fire hazard levels, and an increased level of grass fires within the county boundary, Mountain View County has issued a fire ban that affects the entire county. The fire ban is effective April 254 until further notice.

All fires within the county are banned. This requires all outdoor direct presently burning be extinguished and the lighting of any outdoor fires is prohibited.

This includes no fireworks and no burning barrels.

The only exceptions are internal household fire places and fire which are contained in cooking and heating appliances fuelled by fluids or gases.

Any fire permits issues in this area are now void and no new fire permits will be issued until the fire ban is lifted.
