No one was seriously injured following a three-vehicle collision on Monday, Jan. 4.

At about noon, the driver of a RAV 4 was heading eastbound on Main Avenue and sought to make a northbound turn onto Fourth Street. Heading westbound was a large truck making a southbound turn at the same intersection, said police.

The large truck obstructed the view, and the driver of the RAV 4 did not see an oncoming Trailblazer coming up from behind as she proceeded to turn left. The RAV 4 collided into the Trailblazer and ended up coming to a stop against a tree while the Trailblazer hit a GMC 2500 that was stopped at the stop sign, said police.

The driver of the RAV 4 was taken to the Sundre hospital for observation, but was not seriously hurt, nor was anyone else, said police.

However, she was charged for making an unsafe left turn.

"If there's an obstruction and you're not certain, just don't go," advised the Sundre RCMP detachment's Cpl. Joe Mandel.
