Marty Butts, left, and Bernie Noel were among several helping hands assisting last week the Sundre and District Aquatic Society's effort to replace the Aquaplex's aging slide, which had served since the facility opened. The operation involved removing some windowpanes as well as separating the slide into several easier-to-move sections. Although a timeline for the new slide was not yet as of last week confirmed, manager Real Turgeon said the installation is expected to occur sometime in October, after which the society plans to host a community unveiling event.
