Russ Campkin, from Sundre, takes a look last week at some items donated for the local ATB branch’s annual United Way silent auction fundraiser. Half of the funds raised will be donated to United Way, which supports the local Nutrition for Learning program, while the remaining portion will go to one of the following local organizations: the Sundre museum, the municipal library, or Big Brothers Big Sisters. The local charity that receives the funds is determined through votes cast by those with winning bids as well as those who donated items. The silent auction ended up raising almost $2,900, and $1,400 was donated to BBBS.,
