Students recognized at academic awards

Sundre High School proudly presented over $70,000 in scholarships on Friday night. We are so proud of the standard of excellence that our students achieve on a yearly basis.

Over $50,000 in Alexander Rutherford Scholarships were handed out to graduated Sundre High students who achieved academic averages of 80 per cent or higher in their high school courses, and transitioned to post-secondary education institutions.

Our top scholars this year were; for Grade 9 Andrew Choi. For Grade 10 the co-winners were Noah Bradley and David Newton. For Grade 11 Hailey Musselman, and the co-winners for Grade 12 were Colby Morris and Wade Lahring. Jillaine Erickson was presented with the Grade 9 student of the year award. Taylor Jones was the high school student of the year award. We are all looking forward to the 2012 edition of Sundre High School Academic Awards Night.
