SUNDRE – A partnership among several community groups and business sponsors coordinated the effort to organize and deliver the second annual community job fair.

The Sundre Community Centre hosted on Thursday, April 27 a job fair that included an after school component for students and recent grads that was immediately followed by an early evening all-ages segment.

There were also a couple of information sessions in the centre’s board room: one that outlined ideal habits of a great employee and another on budgeting basics. More than half a dozen people sat in on both those presentations, which one person from each was awarded a $100 GIC gifted by a local financial institution.

The job fair was the collaborative result of community partners including Greenwood Neighbourhood Place Society, The Den – Sundre Youth Centre, Sundre High School, the Town of Sundre, as well as the Sundre & District Chamber of Commerce and some local business sponsors.
