Sundre lost two young men this month as a result of two tragic accidents.
A 16-year-old male was killed in a single vehicle collision on Range Road 61 near the Shell Caroline plant on July 16.
“The lone occupant driver was pronounced deceased on scene,” said Sundre RCMP Cpl. Ryan Hodge.
“We're not going to truly ever know exactly what the cause was.”
RCMP officers are not releasing his name.
“I think it's well known in the community but we're just not going to release it for the sake of the family,” he said.
Another young Sundre man was killed when he was snowmobiling on grass on a rural property north of town, also on July 16.
RCMP officers are not releasing his name either.
“They were snowmobiling on the grass and ran into the loading ramps of the truck and had trauma to the head,” said Hodge.
“They got to the hospital but then were pronounced deceased.”
