Sundre RCMP ask for help identifying McDonald’s B&E suspects

Mounties seek help identifying male and female who used drive-thru to access McDonald’s and allegedly steal an undisclosed sum of cash

SUNDRE – Mounties are on the lookout for two suspects who recently broke into the McDonald’s restaurant in Sundre and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

On Sunday, July 28, Sundre RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter at the fast food franchise on the west side of town.

In a press release issued Tuesday, July 30, police reported that the subsequent investigation revealed that at approximately 3:30 a.m. on July 28, the male and female suspects entered the restaurant through the building’s drive-thru window and proceeded to steal “a sum of cash.”

Surveillance footage also showed that the suspects “used a relatively distinct 2009-2013 red Ford F150 to commit this crime.”

Police said the rear, passenger side tire has a black rim while the rest of the vehicle has chrome rims. The pickup also has a tonneau cover and chrome running boards.

The male suspect, whose face was largely covered with a black face mask, is described as having a medium build and was wearing black sweatpants, a black sweater with a white Nike logo, black gloves, as well as black and white Nike shoes with a yellow swoosh.

The female suspect, whose face was also covered, is described as having a medium build, wearing glasses, a black hooded sweatshirt with white lettering on the left sleeve, black pants, black gloves, and beige Toms-style shoes.

Anyone with information that might help identify the suspects or the vehicle used in the break and enter is asked to contact either the Sundre RCMP at 403-638-3675 or their local police. Callers who prefer to remain anonymous may contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
