Sundre RCMP seek help finding stolen utility terrain vehicle

Side-by-side was taken from Mountain-Aire Resort and Campground

SUNDRE — Police are turning to the public for help finding a side-by-side that was stolen from Mountain-Aire Resort and Campground.

The utility terrain vehicle was taken between Jan. 24-28 when thieves gained access to the property, located west of town down the Forestry Trunk Road on the way to Ya Ha Tinda, local Mounties reported in a statement issued earlier today, Feb. 8.

The culprits made off with a trailer that was later recovered on Feb. 3 by Calgary Police Service, but the side-by-side remains missing, police said.

The off-road vehicle is described as a blue, 2019 Polaris RZR XP 1000 EPS that had Alberta licence plate PUP26 mounted on the back. Although the plate has likely been removed by now, recovering it is of interest to the investigation, police said.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to contact either the Sundre RCMP at 403-638-3655 or their local police. Callers who prefer to remain anonymous may contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), submit information online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the P3 Tips app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.
