SUNDRE – Motorists who intend to head south along Centre Street in Sundre to reach the Highway 27-Main Avenue corridor are advised of a lane closure to accommodate construction work.
The Town of Sundre announced on Wednesday, June 5 that the following traffic changes will be in effect as of 9 a.m.:
• Traffic heading south on Centre Street will be detoured to 1st Avenue NW, also known as Myron Thompson Ave.;
• Access between 1st Avenue NW and Highway 27 is being restricted to business access only;
• Centre Street North of Highway 27 will remain open;
• Centre Street South of Highway 27 will remain closed;
• Second Street SW and 2nd Street NW will reopen for Highway 27 access; and,
• Traffic signals will be moved from the east side of Third Street NW to Second Street NW.
The municipality said the water line replacement on Centre Street and Highway 27 will continue throughout the rest of the week.
