A new permanent chief administrative officer (CAO) could soon be heading up the Town of Sundre's administration.
Council held a special council meeting on Nov. 25, where it decided to hire Dave Dubauskas as CAO, subject to successful negotiation of a contract.
Doug Wright has been working as the interim CAO since July 23, when Dean Pickering, the permanent CAO at that time, went on medical leave.
Pickering resigned from the position on Aug. 16 due to medical reasons and worked for the town for 10 months. Dubauskas is not new to the area, having served as acting CAO for the town from December 2011 to April 2012 and from July to September 2012.
