SUNDRE — Local Mounties are looking for a male suspect last seen limping away from the scene of an attempted break-in.

During the early morning hours of Wednesday, Feb. 16, the Sundre RCMP detachment reported that a male suspect tried gaining access to the storage compound at Mountain’s Edge Cycle and Sled.

“Video surveillance shows a male subject ‘casing out’ the property,” reads a portion of a press release issued on Thursday, Feb. 17.

“The male eventually tries to break a lock but wasn’t successful and then tried to crawl under the fencing. An alarm was triggered, which scared the individual away,” police said. “While running away, the male subject took a fairly significant fall.”

Police provided the following description of the male: slightly heavy set wearing a hoodie with the hood up and possibly oilfield-style coveralls.

Video showed he was limping away from the scene following his fall.

Anyone with information in relation to either of these incidents is asked to contact either the Sundre RCMP at 403-638-3655 or their local police.
Callers who prefer to remain anonymous may contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), submit information online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the P3 Tips app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.
