Four people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Secondary Highway 590 Sunday.
On January 23 at approximately 3:50 p.m., Innisfail RCMP was dispatched to a portion of the highway between Range Roads 264 and 263.
A mini van was travelling eastbound on Secondary Highway 590 and collided head on with a vehicle travelling westbound.
Innisfail RCMP, Town of Innisfail EMS and fire attended as well as STARS.
The Driver of the minivan was air lifted by STARS to Foothills Hospital in Calgary, with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The driver and both passengers of the westbound vehicle were transported to Red Deer hospital with minor injuries.
Secondary Highway 590 between Range Road 264 and 263 was closed down for approximately two hours.
The collision is still under investigation. Police say alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor and all occupants of the vehicles were wearing seatbelts.
