For the second time in four months burglars have targeted the same local house.
Innisfail RCMP Cpl. Don Morrish said Mounties received a report of a residential break-in in the 51 Avenue and 40 Street area shortly before 6 p.m. on Sept. 12.
He said the same house was broken into on May 2. Morrish said thieves stole jewelry and other items during the first break-in and took similar possessions on Sept. 12.
He said in the first break-in the culprits forced their entry through the side door while on their return on Sept. 12 entry was forcibly gained through the front door.
Meanwhile, Innisfail RCMP was called to another residential break-in at 4:38 p.m. on Sept. 17 in the 48 Avenue area.
Morrish said the point of entry is unknown. However, he said thieves stole rifles along with two pieces of small jewelry.
“It was another daytime break and enter. We had a number of them back in May and now they (thieves) are going at it again,” said Morrish.

Rollover causes minor injuries
A local driver is facing provincial traffic charges following a two-vehicle crash that resulted in a rollover at an intersection.
At about 5:10 p.m. on Sept. 17 Innisfail RCMP responded to a call of a traffic accident at the intersection of 39 Street and 51 Avenue.
Innisfail RCMP Cpl. Don Morrish said a westbound 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier proceeded through the intersection after stopping. However, it collided with a northbound 1993 Mazda pickup truck.
Morrish said the pickup truck rolled over from the crash. The driver sustained minor injuries, he said.
Morrish said the driver of the Cavalier has been charged with failing to proceed safely after stopping.
Stolen property charges laid
A Red Deer woman is facing Criminal Code charges following a police probe of two suspicious vehicles found in a rural area.
Innisfail RCMP Cpl. Don Morrish said between 9 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. on Sept. 16 the detachment received numerous calls of suspicious vehicles in a rural area just off Highway 54 near the Red Deer River Bridge.
He said Mounties were dispatched to the area and discovered one 2000 Ford Econoline van that was stolen from Red Deer. Morrish said a 37-year-old Red Deer woman was in the vehicle at the time.
He said a second vehicle was also discovered – a 2007 Dodge Ram pickup. Morrish said the vehicle was not reported stolen but RCMP has been unable to contact the registered owner.
He said stolen property – including a bicycle and dirt bike – was found in both vehicles.
The Red Deer woman has been charged with possession of stolen property, said Morrish.
