Police are seeking the public's help to locate a man responsible for committing an indecent act against a woman at the Pine Lake Leisure Campground.

Innisfail RCMP Cpl. Jeff Hildebrandt said shortly before 11 p.m. on Aug. 25 an unknown older male entered the female community washroom at the campground.

Hildebrandt said a woman was in the washroom at the time.

He said the man exposed himself to the woman and fled the scene.

Hildebrandt said the man has been described as being Caucasian, between 45 and 50 years old, scruffy looking, with a grey beard, and wearing a baseball cap and jeans.

He said the suspect is believed not to have been an occupant of the campground as a police check of the facility's guest list produced no matches.

“We are concerned with this sort of behaviour and we are looking for public assistance,” said Hildebrandt.

If anyone has information that could lead police to the suspect he or she is asked to contact Innisfail RCMP at 403-227-3342 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

The motorcycle is described as a 2006 black and yellow Yamaha model with a licence number YZ250F.

Gleniffer Lake parties probed

RCMP were called Aug. 25 to investigate two disturbing the peace complaints at Gleniffer Lake campgrounds.

Innisfail RCMP Cpl. Jeff Hildebrandt said the incidents involved alcohol, assaults and public fighting.

He said in one incident three teen males were fighting at one campground while in the other there was loud music.

Hildebrandt said no charges were laid but said it was a reminder that police presence over the September long weekend would be heavy in area campgrounds as it is the last long weekend of the summer season.

“This sort of behaviour is not acceptable. People have a right to enjoy themselves in peace,” said Hildebrandt.
