ST. PAUL - An Innisfail man is facing arson charges in connection to a pair of commercial building fires in the Town of St. Paul last summer.
St. Paul RCMP said last summer local firefighters responded to a pair of commercial structure fires in the Town of St. Paul at about 5:30 a.m. on Aug. 7.
Mounties said both fires were extinguished and there were no reported injuries. Preliminary information suggested the fires were not accidental in nature, said RCMP. The cause and origins of the fires were investigated by St. Paul RCMP and the St. Paul Fire Department.
On March 15 of this year, St. Paul RCMP and the Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit arrested Jerry Bidulock of Innisfail in Edmonton. He was charged with two counts of arson and an additional offence of arson for a fraudulent purpose.
Bidulock was released from custody and will be appearing in St. Paul provincial court on April 25.
