Local firefighter Michelle Carroll stands by the new rescue boat recently purchased from local firm Firefish Industries by the Innisfail Fire Department for $53,000. That cost was offset by a $5,000 contribution from the Innisfail Rescue Society and an additional $8,000 from the sale of the old boat, which was more than 20 years old and came from the Medicine Hat Fire Department. The new boat will be used for rescue operations on the rivers and lakes that surround the community.
