Hall vandalized
Between Oct. 26 and Nov. 21, someone pried open the back door of Gwendale Community Hall on Rge. Rd. 354 and trashed the inside, police said.
The damage was reported to the Innisfail RCMP on Nov. 21, who said nothing was stolen from the premises.

Wiring harness gone
Sometime between Nov.15 and16 someone broke into a home being built on a property on Rge. Rd. 12 and took the wiring harness.
The incident was reported to RCMP Nov. 21.
Impaired driver
On Nov. 16, Innisfail RCMP were called for assistance by the Innisfail Integrated Traffic Unit.
They were on the lookout for an impaired driver coming from Calgary. Several calls had been made about the driver but officers kept missing him, Cpl. A.J. Mand said.
The suspect was arrested at an accident scene in Innisfail near the arena.
He was taken into Red Deer for a breath test and charged with impaired driving and driving with his blood-alcohol level over the legal limit.
Vehicle vandalism
Several incidents of mischief to vehicles occurred in Innisfail.
On Nov. 16, a man reported that overnight the mirror on his Volkswagen Beetle had been broken off. The vehicle had been parked near a residence on 50 Street.
On Nov. 18 on 39 Street Close, a Volkswagen Jetta had its tires slashed and trunk keyed overnight.
Deflated decorations
On Nov. 19, it was reported that inflatable Christmas decorations had been slashed on 39 Street Crescent.
Damaged excavator
An excavator on a rural property near Rge. Rd. 41 was vandalized sometime between Nov. 2 and 15. It was reported to Innisfail RCMP Nov. 21.
The windows, mirrors and lights were smashed, police said, and damage done to the controls.
Oil theft
About $15,000 worth of crude oil was stolen from a business on Highway 54, Mand said.
About 25 cubic metres were taken overnight and reported to police Nov. 19. The theft is still under investigation.
Tailgate taken
A tailgate was stolen off of a truck parked outside a Penhold resident.
The incident happened overnight and was reported to RCMP on Nov. 22.
Drugs found
On Nov. 21, Innisfail RCMP were called to investigate a drug smuggling incident at the Bowden Institution.
An inmate was found bringing in hash oil and a little marijuana in a body cavity, Mand said. Investigation is still underway.
Stolen property found
On Nov. 16, a youth was apprehended by police after they received a call about vehicles being broken into. The youth still had most of the stolen property on him when he was found by police.
Lock vehicle doors
On Nov. 16 on 38 Street, two unlocked vehicles were gone through. From one, an iPod, $10 bill, wallet and loose change were taken. From the other, a hockey bag and wallet were stolen though the hockey bag was recovered after it was ditched by a nearby park.
On 54 Avenue the same night, a cellphone and a GPS system were taken from another unlocked vehicle.
On Nov. 20 in Penhold, a UFA gas card, small hand tools and sunglasses were stolen out of an unlocked vehicle.
