Investigation is still ongoing and no charges have been laid yet.

Stolen trucks

Two businesses were left with smashed gates and vehicles stolen on Sept. 25.

A truck and trailer were stolen from Howell's Excavation, police said. The vehicle was driven through the gates to get out.

A truck was also taken from the Innisfail Truck Ranch. Their gates were driven through as well.

Both trucks and the trailer were recovered after being abandoned on the same day as they were taken.

Inmate assault

An inmate allegedly threw a dinner plate at a guard at the Bowden Institution on Sept. 21.

The assault is still under investigation.

Break and enter

An Innisfail residence was entered overnight Sept. 22. The door was found ajar.

Money was the only thing missing from the home.

Frauds

A man reported he was defrauded of $7,900 through a website to the Innisfail RCMP on Sept. 26.

The man had been trying to buy a motorcycle, police said.

A woman reported an attempted fraud to the RCMP on Sept. 22. She was a mystery shopper and had received a cheque in the mail.

With the cheque came instructions to cash it and send money to an address in the U.S.

She did not cash the cheque or send money to the address, police said.

Vehicle mischief

A white Pontiac was vandalized on 56 Avenue in Innisfail.

The incident was reported Sept. 25 and occurred between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m.

The passenger side mirror and the gas cap were damaged, said police.

A tractor near Pine Lake was reported as being vandalized on Sept. 23.

Police said sand had been put in the oil tank.

Radar detector stolen

A vehicle on 45 Street in Innisfail had items stolen from it overnight Sept. 26-27.

The incident was reported Sept. 27. Police said a GPS unit and a radar detector were taken from the vehicle.
