Chase follows break and enter
A caller who resides in the Rge. Rd. 12 area reported on Oct. 6 a pair of men that had been going door-to-door asking for gas had taken his neighbours truck, said Cpl. A.J. Mand.
The two suspects fled in the truck, hit the ditch and fled on foot. RCMP called their dog unit out.
The men were not located but police found the original car they had abandoned, which contained significant quantities of alcohol. The registered owner of the vehicle was contacted and he identified two men, a 19-year-old from Stettler and a 23-year-old from Red Deer, as possible suspects.
The investigation of the incident is still ongoing, Mand said.
