Const. Jordan St. Croix of the Innisfail RCMP detachment followed footprints in the snow to catch up with a suspect after another theft from the Penhold Liquor Store.
A 40-oz. bottle of vodka had been taken just after 8:30 p.m. on March 3.
Robyn McCaslin, 18, was charged with theft under $5,000. Her first court appearance is scheduled for April 5.
Two women drove off eastbound from FasGas in Innisfail, without paying for $78 in fuel for their green Pontiac car. The incident took place March 6 at 1 a.m.
A lady reported her bank card stolen March 6, noting it could have been taken as far back as Feb. 27. A total of $627 was used from the card in and around Innisfail.
Police urge citizens to be careful with PIN number information.
After six extra shifts Innisfail RCMP say they have written 55 tickets in an effort to target bad drivers. Most infractions related to speeding. Four distracted driving tickets were written on top of some seatbelt tickets.
Overall police will add 16 extra shifts to help increase visibility and increase enforcement. The surge will continue until the end of the month.
On March 2 vandalism was reported to a 1996 GMC truck at 9:02 a.m. A passenger side mirror was broken off sometime the previous night on 44 Street.
A Red Deer County sign was shot up with a paintball gun. Innisfail police were alerted about the matter at 6 p.m. on March 3. No suspects have been identified.
Over the past week 11 false 911 calls were logged by the Innisfail RCMP. Many involved pocket dialing or phone problems.
Though police don't want to deter residents from using the system when necessary, they urge care in keeping phones locked when placed in pockets or purses.
