Subway restaurant robbed

Innisfail RCMP is continuing its search for a bandit who held up the local Subway restaurant on Main Street. At about 7 p.m. on Oct. 14 Mounties received a call that a holdup occurred at the business, said Innisfail RCMP Cpl. Don Morrish.

At about 7 p.m. on Oct. 14 Mounties received a call that a holdup occurred at the business, said Innisfail RCMP Cpl. Don Morrish.

He said a lone male, wearing blue jeans, a green hoodie and a ski mask, entered Subway and demanded money from a cashier and customer.

Morrish said the bandit grabbed and pushed one female customer but did not produce a weapon during the course of the robbery.

He said the robber left the restaurant with a small amount of cash.

Morrish said a canine unit was called in from Red Deer and a search was conducted throughout the town for the robber. He said the search was unsuccessful.

The RCMP investigation is continuing.
