PENHOLD -- Three males, including an Innisfailian, are facing theft and stolen property charges in connection to a stolen vehicle discovered by police in a rural area last week.
At about 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 26 RCMP members were conducting a routine patrol along a rural range road near Penhold when a vehicle with occupants was discovered in a ditch, said Innisfail RCMP Staff Sgt. Chris Matechuk.
He said the discovered vehicle was determined to be stolen and the three male occupants were arrested without incident.
Jordan Kyle Glasgow, 18, of Innisfail, has been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of break-in tools, driving while prohibited and 37 counts of failing to comply with a court condition.
Ryan James McDougall, 19, of Red Deer and Aaron James Merchain, 29, of Alsike, have both been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, possession of break-in tools and three counts of failing to comply with a court condition.
All three were remanded in custody by the justice of the peace and were scheduled to appear in Red Deer provincial court on March 1.
