Two Innisfailians charged with possession of meth

Police discovered drugs and paraphernalia while executing search warrant

INNISFAIL — Police efforts to continue investigating illegal sales of controlled substances in the community resulted in two local residents being arrested and charged.

On the evening of Wednesday, May 6, members of the local RCMP detachment executed a search warrant at a home on 45th Avenue.

“A quantity of methamphetamine and drug trafficking paraphernalia was seized and further information was gathered to assist with future investigations,” reads a portion of a police statement issued earlier today.  

A 50-year-old male and a 62-year-old female both residing in the residence were arrested and a search of the premise was conducted.

Kevin Randall Glasgow, 50, and Brenda L Weegar, 62, were both charged with possession of methamphetamine.

The two are scheduled to appear in Red Deer provincial court on Thursday, June 25.

The investigation was conducted by the Innisfail RCMP detachment with support from the General Investigation Section and in partnership with the Alberta Sheriff's Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods branch.
