Summer Oldstice, the annual effort by the Uptowne Olds Committee to attract people to their area, takes place this Saturday, June 16. Events begin at 8 a.m. Stores are slated to close at around 7 p.m., but may be open as late as 8 p.m.

Forty-eight grade 5 and 6 École Deer Meadow School drama club students will be performing Beauty and the Beast as adapted by Kathryn Schultz Miller. The drama students have been preparing for their production since their auditions in September.
