The province has rescheduled four public information sessions regarding the Bighorn Country proposal, including one at the Sundre Legion on Feb. 4 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., officials said.

The province has rescheduled four public information sessions regarding the Bighorn Country proposal, including one at the Sundre Legion on Feb. 4 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., officials said.

The proposal would create a number of new parks, including the Ya Ha Tinda Provincial Park west of Sundre.

"These session will make sure Albertans can ask questions, learn more about the proposal and share their views," said Shannon Phillips, Minister of Environment and Parks.

Area MLA Jason Nixon has been calling for new sessions to be held.

Other sessions will take place in Edmonton on Feb. 2, Red Deer on Feb. 3., and Drayton Valley on Feb. 1.

Information sessions planned for earlier this month, including one in Sundre, were cancelled following what the Phillips called public safety concerns.
