Red Deer County council agreed to locate a 46-metre communications tower east of Red Deer off Twp. Rd. 370 during a Municipal Planning Commission meeting Oct. 2.Coun. Penny Archibald said this part of Division 1 needs all the help it can get broadcasting wireless signals and was eager to see the project move forward.“They need it out there,” Archibald said. “There's a lot of dead spots.”The freestanding structure is meant to provide a reliable electrical system in the Delburne area and support newly proposed transmission facilities within the Hanna Region.
