Trial set in porta-potty explosion case

Two men charged after a porta-potty outdoor toilet was destroyed in an explosion west of Sundre in March 2012 are going to trial next year.

Two men charged after a porta-potty outdoor toilet was destroyed in an explosion west of Sundre in March 2012 are going to trial next year.

Adrian Michael Smith and Bradley William Pearce each face charges of causing an explosion, possession of an explosive substance, placing or throwing an explosive, and mischief.

The men have pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Police have not said exactly where the explosion occurred. The incident was reported to police on March 29, 2012, and there were no reported injuries.

In Didsbury provincial court on June 10, a February 13, 2014 trial date was set.
