If the Olds Grizzlys were to create an upset and beat the visiting Brooks Bandits at the Sportsplex tonight, they'd vault into a tie for fifth place in the Alberta Junior Hockey League Viterra South division.

As of yesterday (Monday, Dec. 4), the Grizzlys were in seventh place in that division with 12 wins and 18 losses for 25 points in 31 games, just a point above the last-place Camrose Kodiaks, but only two points behind the Canmore Eagles and Calgary Canucks who were deadlocked with 25 points each.

However, beating the Bandits, last year's AJHL champions, won't be easy. As of Monday, they sat in second place in the Viterra South with 19 wins and just 10 losses for 39 points.

The Grizzlys had a mixed record the last few games.

On Saturday, Dec. 2, they capped a two-game road trip with a 4-2 win over the Bonnyville Pontiacs; a good feeling after being shut out 5-0 by the Oil Barons in Fort McMurray the previous night.

Before that, they lost two games at home, 5-2 to the Canmore Eagles and 5-0 to the Oilers.
