Tonight's Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) game between the Olds Grizzlys and the Spruce Grove Saints (7 p.m. at the Sportsplex) will have special significance because it will mark the return of former hometown boy and Grizzlys captain Chase Olsen to his old haunt.

The game will be a challenge for the Grizzlys for sure.

As of Monday, Jan. 22, the Saints stood on top of the AJHL north division standings with 34 wins, only eight losses, three overtime wins and three overtime losses for 71 points in 45 games, while the Grizzlys remained dead last in the AJHL south division with 15 wins, 28 losses, two overtime wins and two overtime losses for 32 points in 45 games.

However, beyond that, it will be interesting to see how the team – and the crowd – reacts to Olsen's return to the rink.

The Grizzlys are coming off another tough week, but with a positive aspect to it.

On Friday, Jan. 19, the Drumheller Dragons snuffed out the Grizzlys 7-3 at the Sportsplex. However, on Sunday, Jan. 21, the Grizzlys came tantalizingly close to posting another win, battling the Canmore Eagles to a 3-3 tie in regulation in Canmore, only to lose 4-3 in a shootout.
