The Olds Curling Club will shine brightly in the upcoming season, in part thanks to a hefty donation from local grain company, Richardson Pioneer.

Thanks to an $18,000 contribution from the grain company, the club has received a broom up for renovations over the summer months.

The curling side of the Sportsplex is undergoing a complete LED upgrade for its lighting and signs. In addition, the club is updating electrical wiring, added a new cold storage building, upgrading the PA system, and has purchased some new chairs.

The total cost of the upgrades is about $50,000, and the work is expected to be completed before ice goes back in this fall.
