The Olds Grizzlys have added another name to their staff roster, announcing last Friday that they are bringing a scout on board.
The Junior A franchise has signed Doug Hergenhein as the head scout and director of player personnel on a three-year commitment, according to the media release, which said the new addition has extensive experience in the AJHL as a coach, scout and administrator.
"He has a proven track record at recruiting elite players and creating winning programs with the Drumheller Dragons, Fort McMurray Oil Barons, and the Calgary Canucks," read the press release.
Head coach Adam Redmond said he is excited to have Hergenhein as part of the Grizzlys organization.
"He is a personal friend of mine and we have worked together in the past," Redmond said in the release. "I am extremely happy to have a person with his level of knowledge and experience join our team."
