The Olds Grizzlys have a new goaltender.
Duncan Hughes, born in 2000 and currently playing for the Red Deer Midget AAA Chiefs, has signed a letter of intent to play for the team.
The Grizzlys made that announcement late Friday.
Going into the weekend, Hughes had posted a .917 save percentage in 15 games with the Midget AAA Chiefs.
He has also played one game for the Grizzlys against the Canmore Eagles.
During that game, Hughes posted a .927 save percentage and was named player of the game.
"The signing of Duncan is very exciting for the Grizzlys," head coach Adam Redmond said. "He is a talented goaltender who showed his potential in the game against the Eagles."
