With late registration wrapping up yesterday, Sundre Soccer Club officials are making final preparations for this year's soccer season.
During the March 12 registration night, 81 players signed up for the Sundre Fun Team and 75 registered for the Sundre Competitive League.
Final numbers will not be known until officials count late registrants from the March 19 registration night. Those unable to make it to either registration night can still join by contacting Sundre Soccer Club by sending an email to [email protected].
So far, organizers are anticipating 10 Fun Teams and seven Competitive League teams.
In the competitive league, the U8 and U10 will join the Olds Minor Soccer League and the U12, U14 and U16 teams play in the Big Country Soccer League.
The Competitive League will begin its first practice on April 9, and will finish in June while the Fun Team doesn't begin its first practice until April 24, with its pre-K and Grade 1 teams playing from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. and the older grades starting at 7 p.m. until 8 p.m.
New board members and volunteers to both the Fun Team and Competitive League are always welcomed and needed.
