The Mountainview Taekwondo Club recently hosted its 24th annual tournament, which brought out a record number of participants.

"More than 175 competitors aged six and up attended, making the 24th annual event the largest tournament the club has hosted in 24 years," said Master Terri Miller.

The event was held Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Sundre High School gym.

Athletes came from Slave Lake, Edmonton, Whitecourt, Drayton Valley, Red Deer, Olds, Calgary Westlock, Strathmore, Hinton, Provost, and Sundre.

Next year will mark the club's 25th annual tournament, and Miller hopes to invite all past black belts and students who have been members of the club from the past 25 years.
