It's been a fun year full of different challenges for catcher Rhett Miller.

The 10-year-old is under-aged and this would have been his final year in mosquito ball. However, he decided to join the 11- and 12-year-olds this season.

"I wanted to move up because it would be more competitive," Miller said.

Miller said hitting at the peewee level has been an adjustment, as opposing pitchers throw harder.

Playing behind the plate has been more challenging as well. The bases are further apart in peewee, he said, plus runners are able to lead off. In mosquito, he explains runners can't take off until the pitch has crossed the plate. That said, Miller said he enjoyed himself this season.
