Lacrosse season is underway and the varying levels of the Innisfail Phantoms have been playing and improving so far. Trey Christensen coaches one of the two bantam teams, which has a number of first-year players taking up sticks.

The Olds High School Spartans girls' rugby team got into the win column last week when they beat the Lacombe Composite High School Rams 42-10 in Central Alberta High School Rugby League play. The Spartans now have a 1-2 record on the season.

The Dolphins are back in the water again for their 63rd season of swimming. Last Tuesday was the Innisfail Dolphins Swim Club's first practice of the year and so far, 55 swimmers have signed up.

The Penhold Regional Multiplex played host to two champion trampoline gymnasts recently. Brothers Kyle and Keegan Soehn used the multiplex to train in advance of Olympic qualifying competitions held in April for a few weeks.
