1925 - 2023

Wybinga Petronella Crebas (Nee Schrama) was born January 31, 1925 in Mydrecht, Holland, 1 of 17 children. She grew up on the family farm until her early twenties when she started training as a nurse. She was still in training when she was introduced to her future husband, Casey Crebas, through correspondence. He convinced her to come to Canada and marry him.

On November 7, 1951, they were married in Edmonton and immediately headed to Mercoal to work at the coal mine. Life was rough those first few years, but they prospered until the last mine in the coal branch shut down in 1959. With 3 sons now in the family work took them to Lindbergh to work at the salt plant. Here 3 daughters joined the family. In 1966 the family relocated to Alix where Casey worked until he retired.

Casey passed away June 28, 1997. One year later, Louise moved to Innisfail where she enjoyed 25 years in her seniors condo. In August of 2022 due to declining health, she relocated to Points West in Red Deer where she passed away on Sunday, March 2023.

Louise was predeceased by her husband, Casey; youngest daughter, Angela Stogrin; and grandson, Mitchell Wood.

She is lovingly remembered by her 5 children, Luke (Joyce) Crebas, Marcel (Fran) Crebas, Tim (Caroline) Crebas, Yvonne Crebas and Dan (Selina) Breault; son-in-law, Robin Stogrin; as well as 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
