Joy was born in Innisfail, Alberta on March 12, 1957 and passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021.
Joy went to school in Sundre, Alberta. She adventured to Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and back to Calgary. When she became ill her family moved her back to Sundre. Joy worked for Listowel Trophies, and also at the Kingsland and Cross Roads farmers market. Joy enjoyed camping, travelling and especially cooking for her family. In 1993, she met Vern Steinbrecker and they married in 1994 residing in Calgary, Alberta.
Joy is lovingly remembered by her husband, Vern Steinbrecker; daughter, Sarah Soreghy; as well as five sisters.
Joy was predeceased by her parents; an older sister; an older brother and younger brother; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.myalternatives.ca.
