November 5, 1957 - April 18, 2021
Teresa Marguerite Whitlow passed away peacefully at the age of 63, after a brief but brave battle with cancer.
Teresa was born and raised in Red Deer, until she met Randy Whitlow in 1979. Two years later, on April 11th, 1981 they were married and then moved to the Whitlow Family Farm, east of Cremona. Teresa loved the farm life. Over the years she raised sheep, chickens, horses, pigs, goats, and many farm cats and dogs. Teresa was a 4-H leader, baseball coach, school volunteer, farm wife, and an incredible Mom raising three rambunctious children.
Travelling and art was a huge part of her life. She became proficient in stained glass, mosaics, wind chimes, and many forms of painting. Over the years she attended countless art classes and retreats along side her closest friend Gwen Day.
Once the kids moved away, she started work at Chinook Winds Seniors Lodge in Carstairs. She loved her time there and all the friends she made. Following 'the lodge', Teresa worked at Carstairs Pharmasave for over ten years until her retirement on September 29, 2020. The friends and colleagues she made at Pharmasave were some of the highlights of her adult life, as she talked about them daily.
Teresa will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 40 years Randy. Her brothers: Darryl(Linda), Brent(Tracy). Sisters: Lesley(Clint), Gail(Devon). Children: Trevor(Kristin), Bradley(Amanda), Heather(Matthew). Grand Children: Julia, David, Maxwell, Emmalyn and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Teresa was predeceased by her parents Lesley and Marguerite McAuley.
