The Olds Agricultural Society is no more.
The organization announced on March 24 that it has renamed itself the Olds Regional Exhibition.
Tami Gardner, the organization's executive director, said the society's membership decided at its 2013 annual general meeting to retire the name, which has been in place since the 1890s, ìto reflect the scope of the events we produce.î
The new moniker, she added, ties in to the organization's identity as one of seven exhibitions in the province and the name change takes effect immediately.
Other than some new branding strategy opportunities and a new logo, the name change will not affect any of the organization's events or operations.
