Olds High School is inviting the community for breakfast in front of the Ralph Klein Centre next week to benefit the Red Cross's relief efforts in Fort McMurray.
Pancakes and sausages will be served for five dollars starting at 7 a.m. on May 13.
Students will also be performing live entertainment.
Both the provincial and federal governments have announced they will match Red Cross donations for Fort McMurray relief so residents' contributions will have three times the impact.
Students and staff have been discussing how they can help since last week.
“We want the whole community to have some pride and help out our fellow Albertans,” said teacher George Grant.
